CME's business model has established a solid record of success. Founded in 1994 as a US Corporation, CME Wire and Cable, Inc. is a member of a $3.4 billion dollar international group based in Monterrey, Mexico.

Xignux began operations in 1956 with the construction of the first manufacturing facility, Conductores Monterrey. However, by 1962 the 31,000 square foot building was insufficient for the rapid growth and success of the company. Therefore, with the purchase of a 62-acre plot of land, design and construction began for the new facility. On May 19, 1965 the inauguration for the new plant was celebrated.

Today, Xignux operates 14 manufacturing plants and employees over 20,000 people internationally. In addition, the Xignux products are sold in more than 30 countries worldwide.

CME is proud to be a pivotal part of the Xignux family. Since 2008, during the global financial crisis, each of the three divisions of CME has shown its strength in their market by consistently presenting significant increases to the company's sales revenue.


DISTRIBUTION DIVISION

Building Wire

The Distribution Division of CME Wire and Cable, Inc. is a highly focused sales organization selling through a network of direct sales staff and manufacturers' representatives. We pride ourselves on being flexible and easy to do business with. Our selective market approach lets us closely partner with our customers to provide competitive pricing, customized service and timely delivery with exceptional fill rates.

Our commitment to excellence has gained CME recognition in the marketplace as a quality supplier of wire and cable. This commitment along with our breadth of products, superior packaging and strategically located distributions centers allows us to service our customers well beyond the industry standards.


ENERGY DIVISION

Utilities: Transmission & Distribution

Our customers include a select group of cooperatives, municipalities and investor-owned utilities which supply a majority share of the electric power delivery system in the United States. CME is pleased to offer over a half-century of experience and industry expertise in the design, manufacturing, delivery and installation of the principal component of our power delivery system. With the technical centers and manufacturing facilities accredited in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 as well as distribution centers strategically located throughout the United States, CME is readily able to adapt quickly to our customers' needs and deliver cost effective solutions.

Magnet Wire

CME's Magnet Wire division serves world class products to OEM customers in diverse sectors such as automotive, medical, industrial, energy and others, as well as strategic distributors. By utilizing the latest technologies and the expertise of human talent, the Magnet Wire division collaborates together with their customers to align mutual goals; thus, enabling for quick adaption to new requirements and emerging trends.

Always improving and creating additional value for their customers, the Magnet Wire division offers enamels and impregnation varnishes such as solvent less, air dry, solvent based, water based and others. In addition, copper, silver, as well as tinned plated copper Bus Bars in standard dimensions are available. Made to order, the Magnet Wire division can serve their customers with prefabricated pieces that meet the strictest requirements in the markets they serve.
