Type P117 RFOU-HCF / TFOU-HCF

The P117 RFOU-HCF / TFOU-HCF cables are high-voltage power cables designed for offshore and marine applications, particularly in environments where maintaining circuit integrity during extreme conditions is critical.

Key Features:

Fire Resistance: These cables are engineered to remain operational during hydrocarbon fires reaching temperatures up to 1100 °C, ensuring the continuity of emergency control, power, and lighting systems.

Flame Retardant: They are constructed to prevent the spread of flames, enhancing safety in hazardous environments.

Low Smoke and Halogen-Free: In the event of a fire, these cables emit minimal smoke and no halogen gases, reducing the risk of toxic exposure and improving visibility for evacuation.

Construction Details:

Conductor: Circular tinned stranded copper, compliant with IEC 60228, class 2 or class 5 standards.

Conductor Screening: Semi-conducting material to manage electric stress.

Insulation: Made from Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) or Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE), providing excellent electrical properties and thermal stability.

Insulation Screening: Semi-conducting material combined with tinned copper wire braid for enhanced shielding.

Bedding/Inner Covering: Extruded halogen-free compound, offering additional insulation and protection.

Braid Armour: Tinned copper wire braid, providing mechanical protection and electromagnetic shielding.

Outer Sheath: Halogen-free thermoset compound type SHF 2, ensuring durability and resistance to environmental factors.

Hydrocarbon Fire (HCF) Protection: Incorporates an extruded thermoplastic fire protection compound and lapped fire-resistant tape, enhancing performance under fire conditions.

Applications:

These cables are suitable for use in emergency control, power, and lighting systems that must remain operational during severe fire scenarios, such as those encountered in offshore oil and gas platforms, marine vessels, and other critical infrastructure.
