In 1968, our company has started its facilities by selling electrical materials and cables, in the year of 1970 the first energy cables production was made in Karaköy, Istanbul. Altın Kablo is the one of the national paid capital companies in its sector. In addition to energy cables, our company has developed its types of production such as telecommunication cables, aluminium filmaşin and conductor, and energy cables with aluminium conductor effectively. Today, Altın Kablo is one of the successful companies in its sector and takes place as a leading company in Turkish Industry. The company is not only specializing in the cable sector, but also supports related sectors with establishing new companies; therefore, the strong cooperation identity has appeared.

Our Kocaeli / Sarımeşe plant has an 113,000 square meters whole field that consists of 16,000 square meters closed area with a 15,000 square meters cable and a 1000 square meters PVC granule production. The Head Office is located in Karaköy, Istanbul. Besides Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara regional offices carry out sales and marketing operations. The total sales of our company are composed of 55 % West European countries, 25 % governmental associations, 15 % private sector and 5% regional countries.

Machines and equipments are modernized in order to follow technological developments. Sarımeşe plant which is equipped with international machines and test systems that are reliable in their sectors carry out cable production.

Moreover, the company has made some investment in information systems. Our company has started to use international ERP program that enables us to integrate all of our departments simultaneously. Another important issue that our company is interested is quality and environment consciousness. In our plant all the precautions against environmental pollution are taken seriously. Our cables that are controlled by our developed laboratories during production process can be used safely within a very long time.

Our company has made its production according to the certificates of Assessed Quality Management TS-ISO-EN 9001:2008 and BS-ISO 9001:2008 have been granted by Turkish Standards Institution and BASEC (British Approvals Service for Cables), MEYER ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Processes Certifications, and TS, HAR,BS.

History

1968    has started our facilities by selling electrical materials and cables.
1970    the first energy cables production was made in Karaköy, Istanbul.
1971    has started cable and PVC granule production in Topçular, Istanbul.
1975    TSE Certification (Turkish Standards Institution) had been taken.
1979    has started aluminum rod and conductor production.
1984    has started to produce telecommunication cables in Kartal, Istanbul.
1985    established regional offices in Ankara and Izmir.
1990    established a new foundation for PVC granule production.
1991    moved to a new Head Office.
1993    has took place as a leading company which took the certification of Assessed Quality Management BS ISO 9000 in Turkish Industry.
1994    had been taken the certificates of Assessed Quality Management BS ISO 9000 from BASEC (British Approvals Service for Cables) in England.
1999    laid a foundation of Izmit / Sarımeşe plant which will have 45.000 square meters closed area when it will be completed. The project has been planned in two stages and the first stage is planned to complete 15.000 square meters closed area.
2000    moved Topçular and Kartal establishments to Izmit / Sarımeşe plant.
2003    had been taken SGS ISO 14001 Environmental Processes Certification.
2004    has started to use ERP program which is originated IFS Software Company from Sweden.

Factory

Altın Kablo Kocaeli/Sarımeşe plant is established with a total 113.000 square meters area on the highway of Istanbul – Ankara D100 and across the Cengiz Topel Military Airport. Construction of the plant was started in 1999. The project with total 45.000 square meters closed area has been prepared in two stages; the first stage was completed in 2000 with 16.000 square meters.

The plant has started its production with capacity advancement by donating new machines and equipments after moving the Kartal and Topçular plants which located in Istanbul.

The production of 0.6/1 kV copper and aluminum conducted PVC, insulated XLPE energy cables, aluminum conductors (ACSR,AAC) and foamed or solid isolated, gel filled or unfilled up to 1800 twin underground telecommunication cables, aerial telecommunication cables and special cables are carried out with international machines and equipments that are reliable in their sectors

Our plant has the certificates of Assessed Quality Management TS-ISO-EN 9001:2008 and BS-ISO 9001:2008 and SGS-ISO 14001 Environmental Processes Certifications.

Moreover, operations on research and developments for new products and additional investments have been going on.
