In addition, AmphoChem AB and Pemco Additives AB are merged into Krahn Nordics AB in order to bundle the operating business in one company. Furthermore, in 2022 Petrico Limited UK is renamed KRAHN UK Limited, and Pemco Trigueros Spain SL is renamed KRAHN Iberia SL.

2021: The majority of AmphoChem AB, Pemco Additives AB, Temper Technology AB, BGM Logistics AB in Sweden are acquired and the KRAHN Nordics AB has been established. Also in 2021, Petrico Limited UK and Pemco Trigueros Spain SL are acquired.

2020: As of January, KRAHN acquires a majority share of InterActive S.A., headquartered in Athens, Greece. Through this strategic acquisition the KRAHN Chemie Group expands its footprint not only in Europa but also in the Israeli market.
InterActive S.A. was founded in 1990 and specializes in the distribution of lubricant additives in the Israeli, Greek and Cypriot market, as well as scientific instruments for R&D and QC laboratories in oil, pharma & chemical industries by representing renowned international manufacturers.

At the same time, eMBe Products & Service GmbH is renamed to KRAHN Ceramics GmbH. The company's headquarters are relocated from Thierhaupten to Hamburg and the company's machines and equipment are integrated into the new technical center at the site in Dinslaken. KRAHN Ceramics sees itself as a project partner for the processing of ceramic and metal powders.

2019: On May 1, KRAHN acquires eMBe Products & Service GmbH, one of the leading additive manufacturers for the ceramics and powder metal industry in Europe.

Exactly five years after the company's entry into KRAHN Group Pietro Carini changes its name. From April 1, Pietro Carini S.p.A., the Italian subsidiary of KRAHN Chemie GmbH, operates as KRAHN Italia S.p.A.

2018: On February 1, the KRAHN Group acquired the distribution business of the French Memolex SAS and established KRAHN France SAS. This acquisition represents a further step in the Europe-wide expansion of subsidiaries.
Memolex, founded in 1986, was focused on the sales and distribution of plastic additives in the French market. The former Memolex team has been transferred to KRAHN France and is operating from Milly-la-Forêt close to Paris.

2014: In April, KRAHN Chemie secures a majority sharehold in the company, Pietro Carini S.p.A, located in Milan (Italy) thus further strengthening its presence in Europe.
          •  In 1868, Pietro Carini founded his company in Milan which carries his name.
          •  Pietro Carini S.p.A was acquired by Antonio Bozzi in 1905.
          •  Since then, Pietro Carini´s owners have continued to successfully develop the company as an Italian distributor.

          •  ICH Benelux was founded in 1979 in Wormerveer close to Amsterdam.
          •  2009 – Technoplan Farbtechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Bottrop (Germany) was acquired.

2008: Oleochemical trade is discontinued. KRAHN specializes onwards in its core area: technical sales and distribution.

1997: KRAHN Chemie develops further by distributing chemical raw materials for the lubricants industry. In this way, a new business segment is created, shifting distribution to focus strongly on sophisticated products. The company reorganizes its business activities and organizes its distribution segment according to industry.

1992: KRAHN discontinues trading in natural rubber and focuses on rubber processing, distributing synthetic rubber and rubber additives.

1989: KRAHN Chemie establishes a new business segment called technical ceramics where zirconium dioxide powder is used as a raw material in the field of dentistry.

1988: Reinhard Krahn retires from his managerial position at the OTTO KRAHN group of companies before his death two years later. The company's operational responsibilities are taken on by a non-family management afterwards. Members of the Krahn family retain ownership of the OTTO KRAHN group.

1972: OTTO KRAHN is restructured to become a managerial holding company. Commerical trade with chemical raw materials is handed over to the new subsidiary, KRAHN Chemie GmbH, established on June 23.

1962: After Wolfgang Krahn's fatal accident in October of the same year, his brother, Reinhard Krahn, takes over the leadership of the OTTO KRAHN group of companies and successfully established business contacts with raw material producers in Asia.

1961: On January 1, Wolfgang Krahn established the subsidiary, ALBIS PLASTIC GmbH in Hamburg and exhibited an equally keen sense for business as his father, Otto Krahn, by recognizing the increasing significance of synthetic material. ALBIS PLASTIC'S objective was initially to distribute plastic granules. Today, the company's activities are expanded by compounding and the production of high specialized technical plastics.

1952: After the Second World War, OTTO KRAHN was swift to forge ahead on the international market compared to many of their competitors. Wolfgang Krahn resumed business ties with the USA. In the next years, he succeeded in gaining the confidence of several North American companies to trade in Germany. This expanded OTTO KRAHN'S scope to include synthetic rubber and specialty chemicals for the paint and plastic industries.

1939: Otto Krahn died shortly before his company's thirtieth anniversary in the same year. His son, Wolfgang Krahn, took over the reins of the company OTTO KRAHN.

1920: During the difficult years after the First World War, Otto Krahn succeeded in gaining a foothold abroad. He expanded the company effectively by trading in recycled rubber and regenerated materials which he acquired on the American market and sold in Germany.

1909: On June 30, Otto Krahn founds the trading company which carries his name focuses on trading in caoutchuc (raw rubber), rubber products, heavy duty material and related products.
