Nexans Signs Contract For U.K. Inter-array Cabling for Offshore Wind Farms

exans has signed a framework contract with Dong Energy for the delivery of up to 1750km of inter-array cabling for offshore wind farms in the UK.

The contract will run until the end of 2020 and may be extended for two years. Dong Energy also has the opportunity to "expand the scope for the supply and installation of accessories for the cable", Nexans said.

Nexans has already supplied wires to the Danish company at the West of Duddon Sands and Westermost Rough projects in the UK and Borkum Riffgrund and Gode Wind 1 and 2 in Germany.

"The continuation of the business relationship with Dong Energy is our expertise in offshore cable," said Nexans Germany chief executive Christof Barklage.
