US Sets Preliminary Duties on Steel Wire Rod From China

It's reported the US Department of Commerce set preliminary duties on imports of carbon and alloy steel wire rod from China.

The duties were set at 110.25% and some companies will have lower duty rate at 106.19%.

In 2013, the imports of hot rolled carbon steel and alloy steel rod from China totaled USD 313 million. The final decision will be finalized by November 12th 2014.
