Frost & Sullivan Applauds Fujikura for Offering a Superior Purchase Experience to Customers in the Fusion Splicer Market

Based on its recent analysis of the fusion splicers market, Frost & Sullivan recognises Fujikura Ltd. with the 2014 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Value Leadership. Fujikura experienced exponential growth in FY 2013, with an increase in net revenue of ¥590.9 billion in 2013 compared to ¥491.1 billion in 2012. Most of this growth can be attributed to the company's customer-centric business approach, unwavering focus on developing innovative products, and surpassing competing solutions.

Fujikura leverages on it's more than 100 years of experience in the manufacture of telecommunication and electronics products to develop a suite of products ranging from conventional electric wire and cables to the more advanced fibre optic-related products. Its fibre optic fusion splicers, which are a perfect mix of robust design, user-friendliness, and optimum performance, are considered the best in the market. Fujikura's splicer line-up features the 70S- the fastest core alignment splicer, 12S - the world's smallest and lightest splicer, and 21S – the new, advanced FTTH splicer. Launched at the start of 2015, the 21S offers the new "Active V-groove Alignment" technology. In addition, Fujikura's specialty splicer line-up features the FSM-100 series ARCMaster® splicer and LZM-100 LAZERMasterTM laser splicing systems which are capable to meet the requirements of various specialty fiber applications.

"Fujikura's assured quality, reliable products, and reasonable prices have given it a significant competitive edge in the market," said Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Prathima Bommakanti. "In addition, it offers high levels of customer satisfaction through its dedicated top-notch after-sales services and maintenance programs."

Fujikura boasts a talented pool of product managers and trained engineers who work closely with customers. To shorten customers' wait for service, the company maintains a separate stock of all spare parts for its current models. Additionally, it provides all-inclusive free technical support and servicing of its splicers on an annual basis, with a three-day turnaround for all services/repairs on field splicers.

Furthermore, the company ensures enhanced support for service, repair, and hire by making available free training for fibre optics as well as engineering and optimisation services. Educating customers about varied product benefits and assisting them in their purchasing decisions is a core focus of the company. Meanwhile, its engineering and optimization service delivers custom engineering services to optimise splicing, glass processing applications, and fibre operation processes. Such services include custom hardware, software design, and consultation services.

Frost & Sullivan finds that apart from repeat customers, Fujikura also has the ability to create new customer relationships, which is one of the primary drivers of its growth. For its outstanding price performance ratio, product quality and exceptional value, Frost & Sullivan is proud to present Fujikura with the 2014 Global Customer Value Leadership Award.

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has demonstrated excellence in implementing strategies that proactively create value for its customers with a focus on improving the return on the investment that customers make in its services or products. The award recognises the company's inordinate focus on enhancing the value that its customers receive, beyond simply good customer service, leading to improved customer retention and ultimately customer base expansion.
