What are the meaning of mobile working temperature and fixed working temperature for cable applications ?

What is the meaning of mobile working temperature for cable applications ?

Mobile working temperature means that the cable can work flexibly and there will be no cracks in the cable sheath and insulators during operation. The cold bend test is conducted to measure this. After the cable is kept at the desired temperature, it is bent up to the minimum bending radius specified by the manufacturer. If no cracks are observed in the cable, it passes the test. It is generally used for cable designs with smaller diameters.

What is the meaning of fixed working temperature for cable applications ?

The fixed working temperature is defined in order to show that the cable does not crack under external shocks against the minimum temperature that occurs in the environment. This is expressed with the cold impact test.
