Description of power cables with longitudinal water-blocking

Longitudinal water blocking of power cables can take one or more of the following forms:

1. Longitudinal water blocking of the conductor
2. Longitudinal water blocking of the metallic shield/concentric neutral/screen
3. Longitudinal water blocking of the interstitial spaces between conductors in multi-core low-voltage and medium-voltage cables
4. Longitudinal water blocking of steel tape or steel wire armoring
5. Longitudinal water blocking of the interface between the metallic component of the bonded sheath and the cable core
