What is the cable Conductor Maximum DC Resistance ?

The following is the standardized method used in AS/NZS1125, IEC60502 and BS6360 to calculate conductor maximum DC resistance values. It does not however cover all situations, for example, where exceptionally short lays are used in cables at either stranding of conductors or laying up of the cable. p = Standard resistivity of conductor @ 20°C (nW m)

PAC: 17.241

PHC: 17.77 TAC: 17.654

AL: 28.264

AL(solid): 28.03

Mild steel: 138

GSW: 218 n = number of strands in conductor d = diameter of each strand (mm)

K1 = A factor dependent on number of wires in the conductor, kind of metal, and whether the wires are tinned.
