I'm new to all this milspec cable stuff and I keep on seeing terms such as:

MGSGO
LMGSGO
LFMGSSGO

and I can see a pattern in terms of screening for example, but haven't been able to find an explanation of the way in which the names are compiled and the meaning of the letters in the terms.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
