Dear All,

Conductor compacting starts from single core 25 sq mm.The standard wire size is 2.14 mm X 7 wire.
The area of conductor is (2.14*2.14*3.14*7)/4=25.16 sq mm.

1)My question is if we using 2.14 mm size X 7 wire means while we compacting the conductor the area will be going less, that time CR automatically going high.Kindly let me know the proper compacting formula ,same time CR also should be in the specified range.

2)Is there any formula to calculate the conductor weight by using compact diameter?

Virgolino De Freitas

For min. wire diameter 2,08 mm should be accrding to 58 copper conductivity.

so you have to calculate 2,08^2*pi()/4*7*8,89=23,78 mm2
