wire Russia 2013, MTA and Russia Essen Welding & Cutting Final Report

25 to 28 June 2013 saw wire Russia – International Wire and Cable Trade Fair in Russia – kick off with 250 exhibitors from 26 countries at the Expocentre in Moscow. Held concurrently at the exhibition centre were both the trade fair triple Metallurgy-Litmash, Tube Russia and Aluminium/ Non-Ferrous, which brought 330 exhibitors from 30 countries to Moscow, and RUSSIA ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING.

In Russia the interest taken in an international specialist trade fair for the wire, cable and wire-processing industries as well as for the metallurgy, foundry and tube-processing industries has increased even further. This was also impressively confirmed by the four trade fair days of wire Russia and Metallurgy-Litmash, Tube Russia and Aluminium/ Non-Ferrous. A total of 10,850 trade visitors hailing from all parts of the Russian Federation came to Moscow to visit exhibitors at their trade fair stands and obtain and exchange information on the latest products and pioneering trends.

The trade fairs proved an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to present the products hitherto not on display in Russia to a broad Russian expert audience, to deepen customer relations and to develop new contacts and business.

Wire Russia 2013Not only the leading international market leaders were represented in the exhibition halls on the banks of the river Moskva – some countries such as the USA, Italy, Austria, France and China also participated with national pavilions again. As is traditionally the case, the exhibitors from Germany participated as part of the official joint company stand arranged by the German Ministry of Economics and by AUMA (Association of the German Trade Fair Industry). The organisers of wire Russia and of Metallurgy-Litmash, Tube Russia and Aluminium/ Non-Ferrous, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf Moscow, in turn enjoyed the full support of its partners and co-organisers VNIIKP (All Russian Cable Scientific Research and Development Institute) and Metal Expo.

Numerous international and national professional associations supported the trade fairs. wire Russia was supported by IWMA (International wire & Machinery Association), IWCEA (International Wire & Cable Exhibitors Association), VDKM (German Wire and Cable Machine Manufacturers Association), VÖDKM-AWCMA (Austrian Wire and Cable Machinery Manufacturers Association), IWCEA-France (International Wire and Cable Exhibitors Association-France), ACIMAF (Italian Wire Machinery Manufactures Association), SECRI (Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute) and WCISA (Wire and Cable Industry Suppliers Association) who all contributed to making the trade fair a success.

The trade fairs Metallurgy-Litmash, Tube Russia and Aluminium/ Non-Ferrous counted on the support of ITA (International Tube Association), MC-CCPIT (Metallurgical Council of China Council for the Promotion) and AMAFOND (Italian Association of the Foundry Supplier).

RUSSIA ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING was supported by the German Association of Welding and Associated Processes DVS (Deutscher Verband für Schweißen und verwandte Verfahren e. V.) and by NAKS (National Agency of Control and Welding), the Russian partner association.
