H07ZZ-F vs. H07RN-F LS0H – Which One Should You Choose?

H07ZZ-F and H07RN-F LS0H cables are designed for different applications and technical requirements. They differ in material composition, flexibility, mechanical resistance, and fire safety properties. Below is a detailed comparison:

1. Insulation and Outer Sheath Material
  • H07ZZ-F: Made of halogen-free, flame-retardant (LSZH) compounds. Does not release toxic gases in case of fire.
  • H07RN-F LS0H: Rubber-based outer sheath with LS0H (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) properties. Offers high flexibility.

2. Mechanical Strength
  • H07ZZ-F: Medium mechanical strength, lower flexibility.
  • H07RN-F LS0H: High mechanical strength, resistant to oil, impact, and abrasion.

3. Flexibility
  • H07ZZ-F: Medium flexibility, not designed for continuous bending and stretching.
  • H07RN-F LS0H: Extremely flexible due to its rubber sheath, ideal for dynamic and mobile applications.

4. Fire Safety and Halogen Content
  • H07ZZ-F: Halogen-free (LSZH – Low Smoke Zero Halogen). Does not emit toxic gases in case of fire.
  • H07RN-F LS0H: Also LS0H but behaves differently due to its rubber-based composition.

5. Application Areas
  • H07ZZ-F: Used in indoor environments, commercial buildings, hospitals, and areas where fire safety is critical.
  • H07RN-F LS0H: Suitable for outdoor use, industrial environments, stage/event wiring, and harsh conditions.

6. Chemical and Environmental Resistance
  • H07ZZ-F: Moderate resistance to chemicals and environmental factors. Sensitive to oil and water.
  • H07RN-F LS0H: Highly resistant to oil, UV rays, water, and chemicals.

7. Cost and Pricing
  • H07ZZ-F: More expensive, especially for fixed installations.
  • H07RN-F LS0H:More cost-effective and offers greater durability and flexibility.
