Introduction

Wuxi Jiangnan Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") is a large wire and cable manufacturer and distributor in China. It's also a star enterprise of Jiangsu Province, state key hi-tech enterprise, as well as an enterprise with "AAA" credit grade. The Company, its products and the "Five Colors" brand has won a series of honors: "Famous Brand Product in Jiangsu Province" for three consecutive times from 2001 to 2005; "China Famous Brand Product" in 2004; "Product Exempting from Quality Surveillance and Inspection" in 2005; "Certificate of Jiangsu Quality Management Honor" in 2005; "China Well-known Brand" in 2006 (jointly approved by State Industrial & Commercial Administration Bureau and State Trademark Administration Bureau); "Quality Trustworthy Products" and "After Sales Service Customer Satisfaction Enterprise" for many times, etc. Early in 1980s, Mr. Rui Fubin, the chairman of board, was chosen to be the star enterpriser in Jiangsu Province, and in the year 2003 and 2004 he was listed in "Top 10 Men of Chinese Township Enterprises" and "Top 10 Men of Chinese Economy" respectively. And Mr. Rui Yiping, the general manager, was listed in "Top 10 Men Keeping Promises in Chinese Economy" in 2005. In the year 2006, Guanlin town got the honor of "China International Cable City" from the United Nations, and the Company feels pride for its leading role in this "City".

The Company was founded in 1985 in Guanlin Town, Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. Now it has an occupational area of about 350,000 m2, possesses a total assets of 1000 million RMB Yuans with over 1500 workers and over 200 secondary and senior technical and management personnel of which over 10 are senior engineers. First-class cable research institute has been established which enables the Company to develop new products independently. Now the Company undertakes two Jiangsu Provincial Torch Plan items and one State Torch Plan item. Hitherto company has been granted 14 patents. All production and test equipment are domestically first class and some of them are internationally advanced, which provide the Company with an annual production capacity of 3000 million RMB Yuans. Technical school established by the Company can not only satisfy company's demand on cable personnel but also provide technical personnel to other wire and cable manufacturers. To adapt itself to the integration of world economy, advanced management method is introduced. The Company successively passed the certification of ISO9001 quality management system, ISO14001 environmental management system, OHSAS18001 occupational health & safety management system and ISO10012 perfecting the system of inspection measurement and test and has been granted relative certificates (Company is the first wire & cable manufacturer in Jiangsu Province who passed this four certifications). As informationalized management is conducted in company, ERP system (enterprise resource planning) is employed to control whole process of company business operation, which improves management effects and efficiency. All of these factors combine to bring the company in line with international practice.


The Company mainly manufactures five categories of products, i.e. bare conductors, power cables, installation wires & cables, communication cables and special cables, covering over 50 series, 1000 models and over 40,0000 sizes. Special cable includes halogen-free (low-halogen) & low smoke cable, water-tree-proof cable, opoelectrical cable, flame retardant cable, fire-resistant cable, waterproof cable, mouse-proof and ant-proof cable, oil-proof cable, high temperature cable and radiation cross-linked cable which are provided with high scientific and technical contents and there-among medium-frequency low-consumption rubber-insulated cable for aviation purpose filled relative blank in Asia. Also company can manufacture according to IEC standard, VDE standard, BS standard, ICEA standard and JIS standard, etc to meet different customer requirements. All products sold have passed relative certification needed, such as production license certification, China Compulsory Certification, China Classification Society certification, Safety Certification of Approval for Coal Mining Products, Quality Certification for Exported Products and CB certification, etc. Company has been given network access certificates in such industries as power, petrochemical, oil, communication and railways, etc by relative government authorities. Company products are widely used in various fields, including state key projects such as Olympic Games projects, Shanghai Baosteel and Yellow River Xialangdi Water Control Project, etc. Over 150 business offices have been established country-widely. Company products not only enjoy best selling domestically but also are exported to USA, Australia, Laos, and countries and areas in Africa. "Five Colors" brand cable enjoys high reputation in both domestic and overseas markets for high quality and perfect service. Now a new sub-company, Wuxi Oumei Cable Materials Co., Ltd engaging in cable drum manufacturing has been registered, which will provide better packaging for exported products.
