ADVARIS to Present the Complete Cable Solution at wire 2014

At this year's Wire in Düsseldorf, under the motto "Always a twist ahead", Germany-based company ADVARIS Informationssysteme GmbH is presenting the new generation of "ADVARIS Cable", its tried and tested solution for the sector. Managing Director Dr. Manfred Moser says: "ADVARIS Cable is the most comprehensive, fully integrated operations management system for cable and wire producers available on the market today. ADVARIS Cable supports all aspects of cable production, from product data management through manufacturing execution to warehouse management and sales.

Detailed Planning & Scheduling

One highlight of ADVARIS Cable is the new version of the "Detailed Planning & Scheduling Module". Dr. Moser elucidates: "With our advanced "in-memory" technology, we provide operating managers with a comfortable, top performance planning aid with remarkably short reaction times, capable of dealing even with large-scale quantity structures. ADVARIS Cable's Multi Resource Planning covers machines, tools, materials and maintenance schedules and - for instance - automatically suggests the use of alternative machines to avoid potential production bottlenecks. Thus optimized planning yields very considerable practical advantages: less capital is tied up, and delivery dates can be reliably met.

Plant Maintenance

The "Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Module", which is an integral part of the system, ensures trouble-free production operation and a substantial reduction of mean time to repair (MTTR). When breakdowns occur, MRO plans repair work under consideration of high plant availability. The transparent presentation of maintenance costs is a valuable aid to decision-making for company management.

Advanced Reporting

The new Reporting Tool is equipped with all the functions of a modern Business Intelligence (BI) Tool. The user interface can be intuitively operated without any specialized knowledge. The analyses have high relevance as they represent real time status. The data such as e.g. monthly reports on manufacturing efficiency, are available for further processing in all the usual formats and are also automatically transmitted by e-mail.

ADVARIS Cable MES App for Smartphones

Another innovation concerns the display of machine status, OEE key parameters, order progress status, and many other data. It is now possible to view factory operations in real time on a smartphone or tablet and see where there are problems, thus making it possible to react very speedily.
