Radix Wire Names New President and CEO

Radix Wire Co. has named former Honeywell executive Keith D. Nootbaar its new president and CEO.

The Euclid-based maker of high-temperature wire and cable was acquired in March by Beachwood holding companies Hunter Valley Co. and The Vitruvian Group. The company has been without a president and CEO since the acquisition, said Pam Kochman, human resources manager.

Mr. Nootbaar, who assumed the post July 1, previously served as chief operating officer of Johnstech International of Minneapolis, which produces test contactors, and the senior director of Honeywell's aerospace microelectronics and precision sensor unit.

"We are excited to have Keith at the helm," JJ Scaravilli, president of Vitruvian Group, said in a news release. "His unique high-tech background and solid business acumen will spur innovation and new products that will benefit our loyal customer base, while expanding the company into new markets."

At the time of the acquisition in March, the new owners had expressed interest to Crain's in growing Radix Wire by making acquisitions, developing products and finding new markets.

Mr. Nootbaar said he is looking forward to helping the company develop products and grow. He said Radix Wire has a great reputation and good opportunities to enter into different markets. He said he wants to bring a culture of "constant innovation" to the company.

Much of Mr. Nootbaar's background is in the semiconductor industry, where he said it's common to always have a new product in the pipeline.

Radix Wire has about 90 employees at two locations, one in Euclid and one in Aurora, Ms. Kochman said. She would not disclose company's annual revenue.
