KEC International wins orders worth Rs. 1,511 crore

KEC International wins orders worth Rs. 1,511 croreMumbai, January 2, 2013: KEC International Ltd. (KEC), a global infrastructure EPC major, an RPG Group company, has secured new orders worth Rs. 1,511 crore in its Transmission, Power Systems and Cable businesses from India, Oman, Nepal and Americas.

India

The Company has secured two orders from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). Rs. 286 crore order for Supply and Erection of ± 800 kV HVDC between Champa Pooling Station - Kurukshetra Transmission Line (Western Region Portion - Part 1) in Chhattisgarh on turnkey basis. The total line length is 145 kilometers. Rs. 386 crore order for Supply and Erection of ± 800 kV HVDC between Champa Pooling Station - Kurukshetra Transmission Line (Western Region Portion - Part 2) in Chhattisgarh on turnkey basis. The total line length is 232 kilometers.  In addition to above, the company has secured Rs. 43 crore orders for supply of Power and Telecom Cables.

Oman

Rs. 602 crore order for design, supply and erection of 400 kV transmission line from Sur to Izki grid station on turnkey basis. The order is secured from Bhawan Engineering Company LLC, Oman. The line is for the client Oman Electricity Transmission Company S.A.O.C. The total line length is 260 kilometers.

Nepal

Rs. 131 crore order for supply and erection of transmission line and substation on turnkey basis. The order is secured from Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited. The total line length is 49 kilometers.

Americas

SAE Towers, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has secured various orders for supply of lattice towers and poles to Brazil, Mexico and United States. The total value of these orders is Rs. 63 crore.
