Changes in the HUBER+SUHNER Executive Group Management

Setting the course for the future, HUBER+SUHNER is planning three changes to the company's operational management team in the course of this year. On 1 May 2015, Drew Nixon will take over the leadership of Global Sales from Paul Harris, while Patricia Stolz will succeed Urs Alder as the new head of Human Resources on 1 July 2015. The IT department will be integrated into Corporate Operations under the leadership of Dr Ulrich Schaumann as of 1 April 2015. All three new members of the Executive Group Management have already been serving HUBER+SUHNER for several years.

Dr Ulrich Schaumann (Swiss, born 1957) has been working at HUBER+SUHNER since 2005 and is responsible for Corporate Operations. In this role, he has successfully expanded the global production network, with direct management responsibility for the production sites in Poland and Tunisia. He is also responsible for global supply chain and global purchasing. With his additional responsibility for the IT department, Ulrich Schaumann, as a new member of the Executive Group Management, is as well taking over the leadership of the on-going global SAP roll-out from April 2015.

After a successful career spanning 23 years, Paul Harris, who has been a member of the Executive Group Management since 2001, has decided to leave HUBER+SUHNER and to return to England with his family. Drew Nixon (American, born 1965) will take over the role of Chief Operating Officer Global Sales and will become a member of the Executive Group Management on 1 May 2015. He has been working for HUBER+SUHNER in various capacities since 2004. For the first eight years, he held various management positions within the region North America, and he has been heading the important growth region of North Asia with approximately 1,000 employees since April 2012.

Urs Alder, who has been working at HUBER+SUHNER since 1991, joined the Executive Management Switzerland in 1998, and was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer in 2003. After many years of valuable service, he has now decided to step back from the Executive Group Management at the end of June. He will continue to serve the company with his highly appreciated support as he will be responsible for global education and training, the pension fund, the HUBER+SUHNER foundation and facility management in Switzerland. Patricia Stolz will take on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer on 1 July 2015 and thus be appointed as a member of the Executive Group Management. Patricia Stolz (Swiss, born 1969) has been working for HUBER+SUHNER as Human Resources manager since 2008. Among other roles, she has closely accompanied and shaped the successful development and the impressive growth of the Fiber Optics division in recent years.
