Belarusian Steel Works to Double Wire Export to Singapore

Belarusian Steel Works will export to Singapore 1,800 tonnes of wire for high-pressure hoses, up two times as against 2011, BelTA learnt from the company's Press Secretary Alexander Olesik.

In January-March Belarusian Steel Works exported to Singapore 168 tonnes of different types of wire for high-pressure hoses. The products are sent to the Bel-Kap-Steel company and then transported to the Aeroquip facility that is owned by the American company Eaton.

Belarusian Steel Works have been cooperating with Eaton for 15 years. The wire have been delivered to production departments of the company since 1999 and to its facility since 2004. At first, the orders did not exceed 300 tonnes per year but then went up to 700 tonnes to reach 900 tonnes in 2012. For high quality of products, supply logistics and quick response to consumer needs Eaton gave Belarusian Steel Works the Best Supplier title.

Belarusian Steel Works, which is the managing company of Belarusian Metallurgical Company, was founded in 1984. The enterprise produces cast sections, packed, iron and reinforcing bar and other types of wires. The enterprise exports over 80% of its products abroad employing over 12,000 workers.
