Allied Wire & Cable Receives Main Line Gives Back Award

The Main Line Chamber of Commerce has chosen Allied Wire & Cable as a winner of the Main Line Gives Back Award.  Allied was one of the six award-recipients, and was recognized for their ongoing support and contribution to the community.

The Main Line Chamber of Commerce has recognized Allied Wire & Cable's charitable efforts and contributions to the community over the years, choosing AWC as a winner of the Main Line Gives Back Award.  The award is meant to highlight local businesses who strive to enhance their communities through support for nonprofits and other community‐focused endeavors,  and Allied is honored to be considered one of those businesses.

The award ceremony took place during the Red Carpet Dinner on December 10th, 2014 at Drexelbrook.  This was the fourth year celebrating the award, and Allied was one of six winners chosen; other winners named that evening were Bershire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach REALTORS, Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania, Dunleavy & Associates, Penn Liberty Bank, and Scargill/McClurken Insurance Company.

Allied's Chief Financial Officer, Matt O'Reilly, accepted the award and later stated, "It was an honor to accept the award on behalf of our company.  I enjoy working for a company that cares so much about giving back to those in need."

AWC takes pride in supporting the community that helped build the company, and looks forward to the fundraising events each year. Some of the notable contributions Allied has been involved with include the annual Charity Week, fundraisers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, BLOCS initiatives, the Annual AWC  Scholarship, and other miscellaneous efforts for charity organizations such as Miles for Moms and Philabundance.

Being recognized by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce with this award is an honor and privilege, and reinforces Allied's belief that working together as a community should be a priority.
