Our company's vision is to become the leading manufacturer of medium- and low-voltage cables in South-East Europe. We will achieve this by constructing a new factory for the production of medium-voltage cables in Slovenia and by completing the modernisation of the production line at Kapis TKT. The Mission, Vision and Values of Business Operation


The main task of the Kapis Group is to provide a timely supply of quality power transfer cables to partner distributors and power distribution enterprises.

The Kapis Group wants to become the leading manufacturer of medium- and low-voltage cables in South-Eastern Europe.

The Organizational Structure of the Company


The Kapis Group includes the parent company Kapis d.o.o. in Slovenia and its subsidiaries in Zagreb, Belgrade and Tomislavgrad. The production activity of the Group is concentrated in Tomislavgrad, Bosnia-Herzegovina. The parent company in Slovenia performs most of the business functions for the needs of the Group. The companies in Serbia and Croatia have the role of the Group's representative offices in the target area of South-Eastern Europe.

The entire Kapis Group provides employment for 260 workers with a good qualification structure. The additional employment of 70 workers is forecast at the new company.

The History of the Kapis Group


    1976: the start of the construction of the cable production factory in Tomislavgrad
    1979: the start of production within the company "SOKO" Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina
    1991: the company comes under the control of the "ENERGOINVEST" company, Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina
    2001: the company is purchased by KAPIS d.o.o. Petrovče, Slovenia
    2008: reorganisation and the establishment of Kapis Group d.o.o.
    2009: the establishment of Kapis TKS d.o.o. and investment in the production of medium-voltage cables
    2010: the start of the production of medium-voltage cables

Production and Sales 2006 - 2009

    2006: 8,100 tons of products
    2007: 11,000 tons of products and a 34-percent growth
    2008: 13,300 tons of products and a 22-percent growth
    2009: a planned production of 21,000 tons and a foreseen growth of 56 percent
    From 2010 onwards, an increase in sales and production is foreseen due to the medium-voltage cables, forecast to reach the amount of 40,000 tons of end products in 2015

Sales Markets


The company divides the sales markets into the Western and Eastern markets.

The Western market represents sales to the following countries: France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The Eastern market represents sales to the following countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Investment Activity

In 2008, investments in the modernisation of production amounted to EUR 5.5 million, namely in:

    The purchase of new production machines.
    The modernisation of existing machine equipment.
    The equipment and modernisation of the tool-making plant and laboratory

The investments in 2009 include a foreseen investment in the factory for manufacturing medium-voltage cables in the planned amount of more than EUR 20 million.
