C&M History   

CM building.gif C&M Corporation was founded in 1964 as a partnership between John Curtis and Warren Mueller. In the early years, C&M was a salvage company, separating plastic insulating materials from wire conductors and reclaiming the copper through a unique process developed by Warren Mueller and his team. In February 1965, the company was incorporated under Connecticut state law and in 1967, the company moved from Willington, CT, to its present location in Wauregan, CT, leasing the building from the prestigious Atwood family. In 1968, Jon P. Curtis sold his interest in the company to Warren Mueller who became the sole owner.

The company continued to expand by purchasing equipment, building new machinery, and honing its expertise as wire insulator. In 1974, the company purchased the entire facility and associated property and land. In subsequent years C&M added the capability to provided high performance molded and mechanical assemblies from the US, and Mexico and became a world leader in high flex products.

At one time in the mid 1990's C&M was the second leading employer in the State of Connecticut!

In 2008, after the passing of Warren Mueller, the Mueller family sold C&M to The Watermill Group. Watermill operates the business today carrying on the tradition of excellence established by the company founders.

Locations   

Wauregan facilityWauregan, CT: Occupying over 350,000 square feet, the Wauregan, CT, facility serves as the corporate headquarters for C&M Corporation. Featuring over 200,000 feet of manufacturing space, Wauregan is home to Cable manufacturing, Design Engineering, and Corporate Administration. Our in house tooling operation is also housed here. From this location, C&M offers a full range of bulk cable, coil cords, and assemblies, both molded and mechanical. In addition, the facility is IS0 9001:2008 qualified and offers UL and CSA approved products.



Mexico facilityC&M manufacturing space and more than 125 employees, C&M de Mexico's product offering includes coil cords and assemblies, molded and mechanical, manufactured in a facility featuring a LEAN manufacturing focus and cellular manufacturing concepts. C&M de Mexico is an ISO 9001:2008 and UL approved facility. Tour facility
