History
Habia Cable has been established for over 70 years. Since 1957, Habia Cable have concentrated on designing and manufacturing high performance and specialist wires and cables and custom design wires and cables.


Milestones
1941 Habia was founded in Stockholm, Sweden
1952 Company moved to Knivsta, Sweden
1957 Started to produce cables – High temperature fluoropolymer cables
1969 Benelux Sales Company started in Breda
1978 UK Sales office opened in Bristol
1980 Production moved to Söderfors, Sweden
1985 Launch of Habiaflame fire-resisting cable range
1988 New Belgium Sales Office in Leuven
1990 Launch of halogen free products
1992 New Sales Office in Dusseldorf, Germany
1992 Launch of Habiatron radiation tolerant range of wires & cables
1993 Launch of Habiaflex dynamic cables
1995 New Sales Offices in Orleans, France & Warsaw, Poland
1994 Sales Office in Seoul, Korea opened
1997 New Sales Office opened in Hong Kong
1997 Major extension to the Factory in Sweden – Phase II
1998 Change in Sales Strategy from Regions to Applications
1999 Tokyo, Japan & Princeton, USA - Sales Offices opened
1999 Launch of Flexiform conformable coax range
1999 Asian Head Office in Hong Kong opened
2000 Acquisition of Isotec Kabel GmbH, Norderstedt, Germany
2000 Opening of new Manufacturing Facility in China
2000 Launch of Multibend range, the flexible alternative to semi-rigid coaxes
2000 Söderfors Factory Extension Phase III (major Telecom investment)
2001 Opening of Sales Office in Ulm, South Germany
2001 Launch of Speedflex halogen-free coax range
2001 China factory moved in September
