History of Maillefer

The Maillefer company dates back to 1900. It ventured early into cable making with twinning and cabling equipment. Then in 1941, Mailleferdelivered its first 80 mm 6 L/D extruder. Its reputation for extrusion expertise was further established with the invention of the BM barrierscrew technology patented in 1961.Technological success continued with the arrival of co-extrusion, chemical foaming, automatic dual coiling, computer controls and the Monosil extrusion process. The product line grew to takein systems for manufacturing telecom, energy andfiber optic cable as well as a large variety of plastictubes & pipes. Several innovative products were added to theprogram including CDCC dry curing lines and thepopular EKP 50 automatic dual take-up.
